Milford Parents For Music

The Milford Parents For Music conducts a monthly meeting to discuss how we can help our High School musicians and Staff.  We meet on the 1st Monday of every month.  We meet at Milford High School in either the Teachers Resource Center room or Room C8 and start at 7:00 pm.  Generally meetings run about 1 hour.

Dear Parents and Friends:

 

Welcome to Parents for Music and the 2011-2012 school year!  We are a group dedicated to the support of one of the best music programs this area has to offer.  Parents for Music helps better this extraordinary program by offering its resources and energy to the Music Department staff.  Some of our involvement includes:

 

·        Awarding scholarships to graduating senior musicians to assist them with their continuing education

·        Awarding scholarships to underclassmen to encourage them to expand their abilities through private lessons and music camps

·        Providing, fitting and maintaining uniforms for all our performing groups

·        Providing chaperones and financial assistance for our fantastic music trips every other year

·        Fundraising activities throughout the year

·        Sponsoring Music Awards Nights where students are recognized for their efforts and achievements within their performing groups

       I am hopeful that this year will bring us new faces to PFM - all are welcome!  If you are unable to make our monthly meetings there are still numerous ways to help out throughout the year.  Email me at jparsons@milfordma.com and I will be sure to add you to our email list :)
